Kuripe and Tepi are traditional ceremonial tools used by Indigenous tribes throughout the Amazon, particularly in regions of Brazil, Peru, and Colombia. These pipes hold deep cultural significance and are crafted with intention, prayer, and respect. Within Indigenous traditions, they are used to administer rapé (or hapé) during spiritual and healing practices.

A Kuripe is a small, V-shaped applicator designed for self-administration. One end is placed at the nostril, while the other rests at the mouth, allowing the person to blow the medicine inward with intention. This practice is traditionally used to support grounding, clarity, and connection.

A Tepi is a longer applicator used to administer hapé to another person. One end is placed at the giver’s mouth and the other at the receiver’s nostril. This form of sharing is often used in ceremonial or healing contexts and reflects reciprocity, trust, and support between individuals.

We offer a variety of Kuripes and Tepís, each carrying its own energy, craftsmanship, and relationship to the medicine. Choose the tool that feels most resonant and aligned with your personal practice.
